A Victor Classic Paribahan bus caught fire in front of the Rampura TV Centre in the capital on Wednesday night. Two units of the Fire Service rushed to the spot around 10 p.m. and quickly brought the blaze under control.
Rakibul Hasan, the duty officer at the Fire Service control room, said they were informed of the fire at around 10 p.m. and immediately dispatched units to the scene. The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are yet to be determined. No casualties have been reported.
Tejgaon Division Police Commissioner Md. Ibne Mizan said the incident occurred in the Hatirjheel police station area involving a Victor Classic bus. So far, there are no reports of injuries. The fire has been extinguished, and authorities are investigating whether it was an act of sabotage or caused by some other reason. Police are currently stationed at the site.
