Just a month after taking charge, the newly formed Board of Directors of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has made significant changes across various committees. The board announced the major reshuffle through a press release on Tuesday.
The most notable change has come in the Women’s Cricket Wing. Rubaba Dowla has been appointed as the new chairperson of the division. Abdur Razzak Raj, who previously headed the wing, has been removed from the top position but will continue as the vice-chairman.
Raj has also been given a new responsibility. He will now serve as the chairman of the High-Performance Unit, a position previously held by former national captain Khaled Mashud.
Khaled Mashud has been assigned another key role—chairman of the Grounds Committee. He replaces BCB President Aminul Islam Bulbul, who had been overseeing the committee since the election.
According to board sources, the reshuffle aims to make BCB’s organizational structure more effective and result-oriented. Enhancing departmental efficiency and accelerating workflow were highlighted as the main objectives behind the changes.
